I’ve been runnin’ around my neighborhood sidewalks for cardio exercises and it got boring lately, so I decided to change the scenery a bit. Meadow Lake was my best choice because I’ve always thought of jogging over there every time I pass by the Grand Central Parkway. Unfortunately, I never actually had the chance to… not until today when I stopped by and got to fully appreciate its beauty. After droppin’ May to her class, I went straight to the lake by Flushing Meadows for a morning jog. Running in the park away from the local noises and traffic reduces the stress in your mind and body, plus the solitude can be a refreshing change of pace. Estimating the distance I ran, it is roughly 2.5 to 3 miles around the lake’s circumference, depending on which path you choose to jog in. I prefer running in the outer paths for longer distance… plus it stinks when you get too close to the water, although the view is definitely exhilarating.
