Homeless man with a sense of humor

The title of this entry may seem a bit cruel, but hear me out. In truth, my heart is a sucker for compassion especially for the homeless and the needy. You can’t avoid seeing ‘em everyday because they are scattered all over the streets of NYC and in the subway. It’s difficult to look at their gloomy faces when passing by (especially during the holidays) and my utmost empathy would always pour out to their sad misfortune.

But seeing this homeless dood today was somewhat funny and amusing. Don’t get me wrong… as much as I symphatize with his unlucky situation, I couldn’t help laughing after reading his witty banner that was attracting many bystanders. So I approached him and gave him some spare change from my lunch, and then asked if I can take a picture. He gladly posed, smiled and proudly raised his cardboard sign without care and indignity.

Haha… seeing him in destitute of money for a date with Nicole Kidman put a smile on my face. I wish you luck buddy! :-D
